Juneau's Story
Juneau’s journey to Kindred Hearts began all the way in Anchorage, Alaska. She was rescued by Alaska Fish & Wildlife from a very difficult situation and taken to The Alaska Zoo, where she received expert rehabilitation and top-notch care.
Although she recovered physically, Juneau was determined to be non-releasable, meaning she could not safely return to the wild. For her next chapter, Alaska chose Kindred Hearts as her permanent, licensed facility—a safe and loving forever home where she can live out her days in comfort.
Juneau is now a treasured member of our family, inspiring all who meet her with her story of survival, second chances, and the importance of wildlife protection.
