Shirley

Shirley came to us after completing a rehabilitation program at a local tortoise wildlife facility. Sadly, a lack of proper care earlier in her life affected both her growth and her shell development, leaving her much smaller than she should be for her age.

Now, Shirley has found her forever home here at Kindred Hearts, where she will be loved, nurtured, and cared for throughout her life. Despite her challenges, Shirley has an important role to play! She’s joined our team of educational ambassadors.

Through her story, Shirley helps teach others about the importance of researching proper care before adopting any animal. She is a living reminder that with knowledge, compassion, and responsibility, we can prevent neglect and ensure that all animals get the healthy, happy lives they deserve.
